YOUTH GROUPS
ACTIVITIES FOR ALL
All young parents are welcome to bring their children to the various classes held by Bhagwan Valmik Sabha Bedford.
VAMIKI HISTORY
The class places emphasis on Valmiki history, learning through art as well as establishing a sense of community and familiarity. We provide reading and writing materials for the children as well as an IT infrastructure, allowing online learning.
PUNJABI CLASSES
Our Punjabi classes are held at weekends and we encourage our youngsters to be bilingual from a very early age. The benefits of being bilingual can bring many advantages such as using more brain power; increased awareness of other cultures; and making travel in certain parts of the world much easier. Each class will involve learning from specialist Punjabi textbooks and tuition from a Punjabi teacher.
Motivational classes take place on the first Saturday of each month and will include the teachings of Bhagwan Valmik Ji, with explanations and spiritual stories. Young attendees also watch episodes of the Ramayan. We encourage all to engage in discussions to expand their learning and understanding of the scriptures and our history. After the session, we provide a cooked vegetarian meal.
SHARED LEARNING
It is important for all of us that our young people have a safe community hub where they can share and learn through art and play and by just being together.
